Traditional Skills
Terrazzo, stone masonry and ceramic craft have been passed forward through our family tree, and we are masters of the traditional skills learned from those before us.
Stone Living are home to an exquisite set of European hand tools belonging to the master craftsman –the only set you'll find in New Zealand.
Theses manual tools have been traced back to the era of ancient Rome and have remained unchanged for centuries. They allow us to replicate the historic textures found on stone buildings throughout the Mediterranean.
Modern Equipment
On-site using our modern machinery, we can cater to a multitude of requirements from architects, designers, and home-owners.
With our largest saw blade at 2 metres diameter in size, we can carve into stone from its raw form and create something magnificent.
Experience
Since arriving to New Zealand in 1990 we have contributed to countless stone and ceramic installation all over the country.
Some of these projects include: the Christchurch Art Gallery, Britomart train station, Vulcan Lane, and the Auckland Airport International Terminal.
The Director has undertaken specialised studies for stone-carving at the world famous Sculpting Academy on the Adriatic island of Brac (Klesarska Skola Pucisca).
